A new product has been added to the Vivoil product range: the HI-LO double pump. HI stands for high pressure, LO for low pressure. The HI-LO pump is essentially a double pump in which the primary pump operates at high pressure with a low flow rate, while the secondary pump delivers a high flow rate at low pressure. Below a certain pressure (decoupling pressure), the flow rate corresponds to the sum of the flow rates of the front and rear stages. Above the decoupling pressure, the rear stage operates in a closed circuit and does not deliver any flow rate. Under these conditions, only the front stage operates, whose flow rate is determined exclusively by its displacement volume, as it reaches the maximum pressure required for the application.One of the most common applications for these pumps is in presses or wood splitters. The HI-LO VIVOIL pump is essentially a double pump, with the first pump generating the high pressure and the second pump delivering the low-pressure volume flow in addition to the volume flow of the high-pressure pump for fast movements. Below a certain pressure, the cut-off pressure set by the pressure relief valve, the volume flow delivered by the double pump corresponds to the sum of the volume flows of the two pump stages.
