The control box of the circulation pump for barns has a summer and winter operating mode. In summer, the ZPS PRO IDEAL circulation pump saves considerable energy costs because it only switches on every half hour instead of running continuously. This also prevents the pump rotor from seizing. Naturally, the heating element is switched off in summer. In winter, the circulation pump operates with thermostatically controlled heating. This ensures frost-free drinking troughs even in the depths of winter. The pipe length is approximately 250 meters with a 1-inch diameter, and the connection cable is 1.50 meters long (excluding the power plug). Bacteria multiply rapidly in stagnant water. Furthermore, animals generally prefer to drink water that is at a comfortable temperature rather than water that is too cold. This way, your animals are optimally supplied with fresh drinking water via the frost-proof waterers, even in winter. This keeps them healthy and happy. However, switch the circulation pump to winter mode well before the onset of frost, when temperatures drop below 5 degrees Celsius. This way, the screw-in heating element will automatically start heating when the preset temperature is reached. This prevents unnecessary energy waste on frost-proof drinking troughs. After winter, switch the ZPS PRO IDEAL back to summer mode, and the heating element will cease operation.
