A technically sound sprayer is a prerequisite for precise application of crop protection products. Regular inspection of crop protection equipment ensures safe, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective crop protection.
Participation in certain funding programs requires regular inspection of crop protection equipment. However, every farmer should strive to protect their environment and resources.
When inspecting field sprayers, the following areas are checked:
- Horizontal distribution, especially the distribution accuracy
- Accuracy of the pressure gauges
- Pump performance
- Checking the nozzles for flow rate and dripping and whether the nozzles comply with the regulations for drift reduction
- Cardan shaft guards
