Ingredients:
- 1/2 kg plain flour
- 40 g Germ
- 1 yolk
- 200 g butter
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 70 g candied lemon
- 80 g sliced almonds
- 200 g Raisins
- Salt
- Cinnamon
- Cloves, ground
- lemon peel
- vanilla sugar
- 1/8 l Milk
Preparation:
Mix yeast with a little milk, flour, and sugar until smooth, then cover and let rise. Then mix with the remaining ingredients to form a slightly soft dough, beat well, and let rise for 1 hour. Knead in the fruit and almonds, then roll out into finger-thick rectangles.
Brush the rectangles with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, and fold them in half once (the bottom side should be larger than the top). Let rise on a greased baking sheet for about 10 minutes, then bake for about 40 minutes at 180°C. Finally, brush the finished Christmas stollen with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.
