Declaration of accessibility
FAIE Handelsgesellschaft mbH endeavors to make its websites accessible in accordance with the legal regulations on accessibility. In Austria, the Web Accessibility Act (WZG) as amended for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 26, 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (Official Journal L 327, 2.12.2016, p. 1)
In Germany, the provisions of the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) in conjunction with the Disability Discrimination Act (BGG) are relevant.
This declaration on accessibility applies to the website
www.faie.at, www.faie.de, www.faie.ch, www.richtiges-werkzeug.com
Status of compatibility with the requirements
Non-accessible content
a) Shopsoftware Shopware
On 17.6.2025, the provider of our store software - shopware AG - launched version 6.7, a store version that is already optimized for accessibility in many respects: Shopware Accessibility. An update to this version is planned in the coming months, but has not (yet) been possible for technical and time reasons. We have therefore tried to optimize the currently used version as much as possible in terms of accessibility.
The elements that have not yet been fully optimized include
- The article sliders on the home and subpages
-
Search is currently only available to a limited extent. The provider is already working on a solution
The menu can only be operated to a limited extent using the keyboard. We are trying to solve this problem after the update to Shopware 6.7.
Some images have no ALT texts
b) Disproportionate burden
Our videos are hosted and published on the video platforms Youtube and Vimeo. It is not possible to provide the required audio descriptions for some of these videos. This means that WCAG success criterion 1.2.5 (audio description recorded) is not met. We are of the opinion that a correction would represent a disproportionate burden in terms of accessibility regulations.
c) The contents do not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation
Many, predominantly older PDF documents and Office documents are not accessible. For example, PDF documents are not tagged, which means that they cannot be read and used by screen reader users, or only to an insufficient extent. This means that WCAG success criterion 4.1.2 (name, role, value) is not fulfilled. Please let us know if you have difficulties with specific documents. We will make the content accessible on request and replace the documents or add accessible alternatives. For new documents, we endeavor to make them accessible in accordance with WCAG 2.1 and PDF/UA-compliant before publication. Publication of non-accessible documents, for example print versions, are marked as such.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This declaration was created on June 20, 2025. The assessment of the website's compliance with the WZG to implement the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 took the form of an external accessibility audit in accordance with WCAG 2.1 Conformance Level AA in June 2025. XX pages were reviewed, including the German and English home pages, legal information, overview pages, news pages, pages with downloads, images, videos, tables and lists, forms, the search function and the search result. Individual page content is regularly checked by the web editorial team when new content is published.
This declaration was updated on 30.06.2025.
